ENN2 (Eternal News Network2) has been closely following the latest developments in the nation-wide education justice movement led by students, faculty and labor unions. One of the largest labor unions in the country, known as the SEIU (Service Employees International Union), has recently begun campaigns across the United States to unionize adjunct instructors at colleges and universities. On October 12, 2014 ENN2 got exclusive coverage of an SEIU sponsored event called Art, Education, & Justice, which took place at the Human Resources gallery in Los Angeles, California. This three hour long event brought out hundreds of artists, activists and college professors kicking off SEIU’s campaign to unionize Adjunct Instructors at the Otis College of Art and Design, Art Center College of Design, and California Institute of the Arts. ENN2 spoke with over a dozen people at the event and created this edited segment. These recordings were produced by Elana Mann, with the editorial assistance of Adam Overton and the production assistance of Jean-Paul Leonard. ENN2 is an independent news collective produced by and for artists, art enthusiasts, and the general public.

Resonate-Reverberate-Roar (Re-Re-Roar) is a growing archive of original sounds that express an experimental, independent, and socially progressive spirit.  The sounds on Re-Re-Roar include field recordings, interviews, songs, speeches, experimental music, and more. Re-Re-Roar is a site for activ[ist] listening, with the purpose of distributing sounds of resistance to eager ears around the globe. Visitors are encouraged to add their own sounds of resistance to the archive through the website's submit function.

Re-Re-Roar originated from artist Elana Mann’s collection of sounds of resistance, which she began during the Iraq war in 2007 by recording commuters in Los Angeles and Iraq. The website was incubated during Mann's time as the 2013 Amy M. Sears artist-in-resident at St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN, amongst a group of peace activists from the Sisters of St. Joseph Carondelet & Consociates. Re-Re-Roar was designed by Roman Jaster and Nicole Jaffe, with production assistance from Reilo Dahl. For more about Elana Mann visit:
