Occupy Charleston stages a human microphone protest during a stump speech by Michele Bachmann for her 2012 presidential campaign. the transcript reads as follows: “You parade as a grassroots candidate, but your campaign is funded by Americans For Prosperity, a group that takes advantage of legalized money laundering. This does not help the American People. You cater to the One Percent,  you oppose paying hardworking Americans a living wage and refuse to promote realistic solutions to economic problems. We demand an end to legitimized corruption through a constitutional reversal of the Citizens United decision.”

Re-Re-Roar originated from artist Elana Mann’s collection of sounds of resistance, which she began during the Iraq war in 2007 by recording commuters in Los Angeles and Iraq. The website was incubated during Mann's time as the 2013 Amy M. Sears artist-in-resident at St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN, amongst a group of peace activists from the Sisters of St. Joseph Carondelet & Consociates. Re-Re-Roar was designed by Roman Jaster and Nicole Jaffe, with production assistance from Reilo Dahl. For more about Elana Mann visit: elanamann.com
